Saving image in different formats:
First, I clicked on "Save as” and then on "Select File Type (By Extension)" to allow me to choose the File Type I wanted. This first step is the same for each of the examples below.
JPG lets users choose the “Quality” of the image on a scale of 0-100. It allows users, by checking the "Show preview in image window", to decide how much image quality is needed for the size of the image they wish to create.
GIF only has two options - Convert to Indexed or Convert to Grayscale. I chose "Convert to Indexed" and then clicked "Export" to continue.
PNG has "Compression Level" on a scale from 1-9. However, it did not allow me to preview the image before saving it. Therefore, I had to try different compression levels and save each one before I could find the right balance between quality and download time.
